We have made it to another year, 2013! I decided to finally make a public blog because I love talking about current topics and being able to help others. I also wanted to work on being a better writer. From a young age I have always had a journal were I would keep my thoughts and feelings about life's many experiences and writing was my only outlet.
Year 2012 had taught me many things about myself and gave me a new perspective on life. I had just finished my first semester of college as a Dance Major at Columbia College Chicago. It may sound cliché, but you really do learn a lot about yourself once you go off to college. No more of mom telling me what to do, everything was on my terms. In that semester I learned that I was not living my life to the fullest like I thought I was. In my 19 years that I have been living I've talked about many things that I want to do in my life but never put action towards them because I thought and felt that I was not good enough. But I have realized that I cannot live my life like that anymore I have too much to give back to the world and too many people that expect great things of me. 2013 is my year to work hard towards what I want in life, take charge and take risks because that is what life if about. I'm excited for what this year and life have in store for me and I invite you to join me on this journey.
